Waterford Foundation, is giving The Red Barn Show a run for its money although both events are under The Waterford Foundation Art Department. Entries in The Art Mart are unlimited, there is no entry fee, no time limit during which the pictures have to be painted, graphics and water-colors do not have to be framed, only matted, and the price range is $75 and under.
The Art Mart entries, however, are not pinned and there are no cash awards. The rewards in what started out to be sort of a flea market of inexpensive pictures are in the selling of a vast number of pictures under the chairmanship of Mrs. Lester Schoene of Waterford assisted by Miss Nancy Bradford, Mrs. Robert Rice and Mr. and Mrs. Rodney C. Mercker.
ADDITIONAL members of the Ren Barn Show committee include Mrs. Herman Pohl, Mr. Clyde Beck, Mrs. Hobart Rowe, Mrs. Lester Trueblood and Miss Jane Anderson of the junior committee.
Potential new exhibitors may call either Mrs. Schmidt at 703-338-4194 or Miss Ehrenkranz at 703-8225935. Blanks have to be in by September 22. □
