Southeastern cash corn prices declined following lower Chicago futures, and reluctance by feeders to purchase on the declining market. At Norfolk, No. 2 yellow corn declined 15 cents to
$2.75 to $2.85 a bushel. Trading was 30 cents lower at Memphis, at $2.941/2 to $3.11-1/2. Trucklot sales in Alabama declined 42 cents and traded at $2.83 to $2.99-1/2,while multicars in Georgia moved at $2.83 to $2.85 per bushel.
Soybean bids declined about 90 cents a bushel at Memphis, closing at $7.05 per bushel, new crop basis. In Virginia, soybeans declined about $1 a bushel with Richmond closing at $7.08. Memphis old crop beans were off 75 cents.
Wheat prices in Virginia advanced 50 cents to $4.59 a bushel under strong export demand. Terminal prices at Memphis advanced 50 cents and closed at $4.74-1/2. □
