PLANS for the new wing are designed to provide better and more efficient service to more patients, said W.A. Grave. ly, Jr., administrator. Of particular importance will be a gain of 60 patient beds to create a 104 bed facility. The present building was designed for 44 bed capacity.
Dr. Alfred B. Cramer, III, Chief of* the Medical Staff observed that the additional beds “ will meet a very urgent need to serve a greater number of patients and hopefully will attract more doctors to practice in the hospital’s service areas.” The ground floor of the new wing will provide for a new entrance and lobby along with an enlarged hospitality shop.
