THERE ARE MANY, many more such conflicts, between the views of persons who all profess to share the same goals. It’s not bad enough that we’ve all got to battle the Highwaymen, the speculators, the developers, the quick-buck artists, but we’ve got to get tangled up among ourselves, too. Saving the Piedmont isn’t going to be easy, but it remains an eminently worthwhile objective. □
