Henry Schoenfeld of Washington, D.C. was cited for improper passing, after he was involved in a two - vehicle collision Saturday. According to Trooper J.A. Watson, Schoenfeld driving a 1969 Volvo traveling south on Route 231 struck a 1974 Chevrolet pickup, operated by Virgil Atkins of Washington, Va.

Last Wednesday at Hampton Inn on Route 211 west of Washington, Ellen Sharp of Middletown, driving a 1974 Fiat struck Howard Foster of Chester Gap in a 1971 Plymouth. Foster was making a left turn when struck. Trooper R.A. Baines charged Ellen Sharp with following too close. He estimated damage to the Fiat at $300 and to the Plymouth $150.
