Tuesday, April 29, at 2:3U p.m. on Route 211 three miles east of Washington, a pickup struck a highway road grader. The Huber road grader belonged to the Virginia Department of Highways and was hit by Douglas McGuire Dougherty of Washington, who was driving a 1973 Chevrolet pick up. Damage to the truck which hit the grader blade was estimated at a thousand dollars.

Dougherty continued on a half mile to Hillsdale Service Station and struck a parked 1970 Ford Station wagon belonging to Malcolm Wayne Sutphin of Washington, according to Trooper W.A. Buntin. Damage to the station wa
