THE TWO! informational hearings were the first of a series of hearings that will be held on the COR’s scenic river study. Virginia Governor Mills Godwin directed the COR to study possible scenic river designation last year after the Army Corps of Engineers announced that the Salem Church Dam was no longer economically feasible. The study covers a 29mile stretch of the Rappahannock from Remington to Fredericksburg and 35 miles of the Rapidan from the village of Rapidan in Orange County to the river’s confluence with the Rappahannock.
