Livestock sale

The spring calf and yearling sale sponsored by the Page, Rappahannock and Warren Feeder Cattle Association was held Tuesday evening, April 27, at the Front Royal Livestock Sales, Inc. in Front Royal.

Steers sold averaged 649 pounds and brought an average of $45.61 per hundredweight, or $296.17 per head. Heifers sold for an average of $34.08 per hundredweight and averaged 531 pounds.

There were buyers registered from Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. □
