the District but as a result of Tuesday’s game have moved into 2nd place with a district standing of 7 and 2. Tuesday our team met with Elkton and were defeated 5-0. But don’t lose heart—we’ve still got a chance for that 1st place position. Next Tuesday our Panthers will play Madison, a home game—your support means a lot so come on out if you can.
We had a couple of outstanding performances by members of our Boys Track team during their last meet on April 30 with Page Co. David Sheffield set a new school record with 117 ft. in discus competition. In the 880 Donnell Carter beat Page’s Watson who had gone undefeated throughout this year’s indoor and outdoor season. Way to go David and Donnell! Our Girl’s and Boy’s Track teams will participate in their District meet this Sat. at Madison High School at 12:00. I know they’d appreciate your support if you could make it. R.C.H.S. sports fans, don’t forget to stop and gaze at those beautiful sports award trophies in the trophy case—they’ll be given away at our upcoming sports banquet later on in May.
