The Sperryville Rescue Squad took Robert Hume from his home in Woodville to Culpeper Memorial Hospital April 28. The same day Ronald Taylor was carried from Sperryville to Culpeper Memorial. May 2, E. A. Eliason of Lancaster, Pa. was taken from Baldwin’s Shell to Fauquier Hospital.
Washington Fire Dpeartment washed the road down after an automobile wreck on Piedmont Ave. in town, May 2.
The Rescue Squad carried Haywood Dodson from home to Warren Memorial May 1. May 3 the unit answered a call to a wreck on Rt. 231 and treated Denise Myers and Ben Strome of J’lint Hill at the scene. The same day Harold Brown Estes of Lignum was carried from the firehouse to Martinsburg, W. Va. Veterans Hospital.
Amissville Rescue Unit took David Barr on April 21 to Culpeper Memorial Hospital from his home. This unit responded to the home of Miss Virginia Luttrell who was dead on arrival April 26.
Amissville Fire Company was called to the sawmill fire at Picketts Mill on April 20.
The Chester Gap Rescue Squad took Mrs. Sam North from her home to Warren Memorial Hospital Friday morning.
April 26, Sperryville Rescue Squad carried Roy Swindler from his home in Sperryville to Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Washington Rescue Squad answered calls to Rosie Pullen’s home April 22, 23, and 24. She was carried to the Warren Memorial Hospital, twice.
April 21 the Washington Fire
Dept, extinguished a fire on the property of Albert Weijoreck on Route 633.
Flint Hill Rescue Squad carired Mrs. J.L. Burke from iter home near Washington to Warren Memorial April 20. The same day Raymond Mahoney was transported from Arlington Ortho. Hospital to Huntly. April 21, Mrs. Leeta North was taken from the Aileen plant to Warren Memorial. The same day the unit was called to Gid Brown Hollow to Mrs. Pullen’s home but services were not needed. April 24 Miss Mary Frances Riley was carried to Warren Memorial and back home. Flint Hill Fire Dept, stood by at a controlled burning at the Harris farm April 22. April 25 the unit responded to a forest fire at Jenkins Hollow, Sperryville.
