Mrs. J. M. Lillard holds a baloon which landed in her yard Wednesday morning. “It frightened me,’’ she said. “I thought it was a bomb or something until I read the card attached.” The baloon had been released by students at the Pearl Sample Elementary School in Culpeper and the card requested a reply to them if and when it was found. Mrs. Lillard complied after she recovered from her excitement.
