Edward “Ned” Alford, a student at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, spent the weekend with his parents, the Rev. and Mrs. William Alford.
Mrs. Shirley Shelton spent Sunday afternoon with the Robert Sheltons in Winchester. Thursday Mrs. Shelton visited Mrs. Robert Moore, Mrs. Leslie Costello, Mrs. Josephine Patterson and the Rev. and Mrs. Charles Beahm in Alexandria.

Rhonda Williams and Kim Gilkey joined by Penny Chadwell of Huntly were among the Candy stripers who recently received their caps at Warren Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Lelia Leake reports that her nephew came for her and took her to Sperryville Saturday, where she visited her father, Tom Leake, and was a Saturday overnight guest of Mr. and Mrs. Willie McFarlane. Charles Leake and son, John, spent Saturday night in the home of his wife’s parents, the Bruces, in Gid Brown Hollow.
Monday Mrs. Stanley Williams and daughter, Mrs. Jabo Williams accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Page Henson of Riverton to Bethesda, Md., where they called on Alford Sealock in Suburban Hospital and visited Mrs. Sealock who is staying in the area to be near her husband.
