Farm loans

available

Loans are available through the Rappahannock County ASCS Office for farm storage bins and drying equipment.

There are many advantages of having a storage bin and drying equipment. Prices paid for crops are lower at the peak of the harvesting season. If crops are stored they dan be sold when the prices are at their peaks, because they won’t have to be sold as soon as the crop is harvested.

Loans can be made to eligible producers on 70% of the cost of applicable components of the storage bins and drying equipment. The current interest rate is 7-1/2%.

Loans at this 7-1/2% interest rate can be made on farm stored wheat, corn and other eligible grains using the grain as collateral.

For information on this program and die storage bins and dryer equipment loans, contact theRappahannock County ASCS Office. □
