Warmer weather found Virginia’s horses and riders getting into condition for the Rappahannock Point-to-Point Races to be held on Saturday, March 5. The races will be run at Thornton Hill Farm, two miles south of Sperryville on Route 522, starting at 11:15 a.m.
The races begin with the “Paris Race” ridden by members of recognized hunts on regularly hunted mounts. Rappahannock’s Pairs Race is run against the clock over a 2-1/4 mile course of fences and natural hazards.
