Holmes

Richard Langston Holmes of Roselle, N. J. died February 19, 1977 in Elizabeth, N. J. He was 65, a native of Rappahannock, the soa of the late Richard L. and Mildred Beckwith Holmes.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, today, at the Grigsby family cemetery inSmedley Hollow near Washington. The Rev. John Pendleton will conduct the service.

Mr. Holmes is survived by three sons, Richard Holmes of Elizabeth, N. J., Ronald Holmes of Plainfield, N. J. and Raymond Holmes who is with the U. S. Air Force in England; two sisters, Mrs. Mar - .vin Thomas of Elizabeth, N. J. and Muriel McGrady of East Orange, N. J.; and 13 grandchildren; two step-daughters, Mrs. Frances Hill of Roselle and Mrs. Dorothy Parks of Edison, N. J.

Also surviving is a sister, Miss Mabel Holmes of Elizabeth and a brother, Robert E. Holmes of Edison.
