“I don’t know of any rezoning applications,” said Barksdale.

BAUMGARDNER said he thought the proper sequence was to have the rezoning after or at the same time as final plat approval, citing the procedure followed with Wade Massie’s subdivision.

“That was all done after the subdivision was almost completed We want to do this one in the proper manner,” maintained Barksdale.

“If this is a new subdivision, what are we going to do about all the old tmes?” asked Commissioner Walter Masterson, referring to all the subdivisions plotted before the ordinance was adopted but not yet built on. “We’re worried about 15 lots. Some of them have 40.”

Barksdale asked Phil Irwin, president of the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection, what his group thought about the subdivision application.
