Elections
Eight Washington residents—six of whom currently hold a town office—have filed for the municipal election to be held May 2. Incumbents seeking to retain their seats on the town council are Dorothy Gater, Garence Giles Jr., Dorothy Hawkins, Charles Jenkins and Taylor Updike. Newbill Miller, Washington’s present mayor, is again running for that office.
Brad Fisher is trying for the position of town treasurer and Charles Manson for a seat on the town council.
