The number of students served at Lord Fairfax Community College dropped slightly this winter quarter from an all time high of more than 1800 in the fall. But at 1555, the student population still nearly reached a projected enrollment of 1600, according to Dr. Donald Rosinquist, Dean of Student Services at the College.
Traditionally, he explained, there has been a drop in enrollment from the fall to the winter quarter at Lord Fairfax, as well as in the Virginia Community College System as a whole. And last year, because of severe weather, a depressed economy and other unidentified factors, the drop was considered serious by administrators.
