1 realize that the editorial was aimed at road shooting, but the implication remains and further adds ammunition to those groups whose ultimate goal is to totally eliminate hunting of all kinds.

I have had many conversations with anti-hunters and by anti-hunters, 1 do not refer to the many truly conservation-minded people who do not hunt, but these people do not call us “cowboys,” a

Among these anti-hunting people, I have never met one (although there must be some) who ever spent a dime on a hunting license or a big game or waterfowl stamp or who belonged to any true wildlife conservation groups, such as Ducks Unlimited. Who, other than the hunter, limes, fertilizes and plants his own ground solely for the benefit of wildlife? Who, other than the hunter, uses their own time, energy and money to feed staving wildlife during the hard winter months or feeds migrating waterfowl long after the hunting season?

My suggestion to those who constantly criticize the hunger is that if they are really interested in preserving wildlife, use their money and muscle and not their mouths.
