Everything is ready for Warrenton Hunt’s point-topoint races Saturday, at the Virginia Gold Cup course. Post time for the first of seven races is 1:30 p.m.
"We re all set to go,” said co-chairman Ernie Oare. "Entries are pouring in at a record-breaking rate and we ll be the first to have decent going. However, there will be no schooling permitted.”
Warrenton, normally the fifth point-to-point of ten in Virginia, is the second to be run this year because of bad weather. Fairfax, Rappahannock, and Blue Ridge Hunts all have rescheduled for later dates.
The first race on Warrenton’s program is the owner-rider hurdle race. Among new horses and new riders to enter this competition for the First Colony
