public. Persons and groups | surveyed will be contacted | through mail questionnaires, g by telephone and by trained | volunteer interviewers. The survey will enable Virginia, through its state arts agency, to receive a block grant of $600,000 for 1980-82 from the National Endowment of the Arts. It will also be used by the Virginia Commission of the Arts and Humanities in developing a plan for the next biennium that begins in July, 1980. The data collected by Bravo will provide information on the needs priorities of those the Commission seeks to serve. Artists, art organizations and other interested citizens will have further opportunity to j be involved in development of the Commission’s plan for 1980-82 through task forces, circulation of draft plan and statewide public meetings.
