Miss Judy Kay Whorton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Whorton of Castleton, became the bride of Gregory A. Settle of Sperryville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred T. Settle, on Sunday, November 12, 1978. The double ring ceremony, solemnized at seven o’clock in Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, Sperryville, was performed by the Rev. Ronald Wiley, pastor.
Mrs. Dennis Wingfield, organist, presented a program of traditional wedding music.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown with an empire bodice of Chantilly lace designed with a Queen Anne neckline and sheperdess sleeves. The full skirt of organza and attached chapel train were appliqued with lace and bordered with a double ruffle. The fingertip veil, with scattered lace motifs and plain blusher, was held by a Camelot headpiece accented with seed pearls. Her flowers were white and
