Keternng to a claim tiled last month for costs and damages due to locating the Amissville dumpsters on alleged private property. Supervisor Dick Latham stated that he believed the trash disposal boxes are currently sitting—at least in part—on Gwendolyn H. Hammond’s land.
“I'd like to get that cleared up before we get a damage suit from her,” he added. Luke agreed to consult with Commonwealth Attorney George Davis on the matter.
Sheriff W. A. Buntin told the Supervisors that a 1,000 gallon storage tank previously approved by the board would cost $850 “ready to go with an electrical hook-up and pump.”
He added that the State Energy Office had agreed to give “prompt consideration” to designating a supplier and approving the added gasoline allotment.
