Commended

To the editor:

I would like to commend Mr. Charles Manson and Mr. Brad Fisher of the Washington Rescue Squad for their quick response to an emergency on July 22,1979.

My husband, Edward F. Hawkins, while visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Hawkins, was stung by bees and immediately lost consciousness. Frantically, a call was placed to the Washington Rescue Squad. Within minutes Mr. Manson and Mr. Fisher arrived. My husband was transported to Warren Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The people of Rappahannock County are very fortunate to have volunteers like Mr. Manson and Mr. Fisher to donate their time to assist one in a situation requiring emergency transport.

My sincere thanks to the Washington Rescue Squad, especially Mr. Charles Manson and Mr. Brad Fisher. I will be forever indebted.

MRS. EDWARD F.

HAWKINS
