Funeral services for Henry Davis Jenkins of Etlan were held Sunday at the Geest Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. The Rev. Charles Clinedinst conducted the service.
Mr. Jenkins, 69, died Thursday, August 2, 1979, at the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville. A native of Woodville, he was the son of the late Will and Rebecca Jenkins. He was a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, the former Gladys Pearl Nicholson; four daughters, Mrs. Catherine P. Nichols of Boston, Mrs. Marie A. Jenkins of Leon, Mrs. Arlene Myers of Warrenton and Mrs. Loraine F. Taylor of Etlan; five sons, Carroll D. Jenkins of Woodville, Henry Brown Jenkins of Washington, James A. Jenkins, Roy L. Jenkins and Earl R. Jenkins, all of Etlan; 30 grandchildren, 13 greatgrandchildren; three brothers, Lum Jenkins, Thomas Jenkins and Howard Jenkins, all of Culpeper; and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Alther of Sperryville and Mrs. Emma Fincham of Washington.
