Moving on, a mgnt was spent at Stuart Recreation Area, after a stop at a glass factory in Weston. They were able to take the Cass Mountain Scenic Railroad to the top of Cheat Mountain, and spent the last night at Leatherbark Campground in Cass. Their last stop was National Radio Telescope Observatory at Green Bank.
Those participating in the camping trip were, from Boston area, Carolyn and Angela Butler, Cheryll Lancaster, Danny Sims, Paula Butler, Louellen Thornhill; from the Castleton area, Betsy and Earl Jewell Jr.. Mark and Tim Caliandro, Virginia and Andy Ellis.
Adults joining them were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Sims of Boston; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Holschuh, and Mrs. Grace Caliandro of Castleton.
The young peole will present slides and a narration of their trip Sunday, August 12, at 8 p.m. at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. All are welcome to see the show.
