No Applications
After Clerk Diane Bruce reported that not a single applicant had applied for the job of janitor at the court house complex, the Supervisors agreed to reword the advertisement for the position. Supervisor Butch Eastham suggested the ad read “salary negotiable...The main thing is to get some applications,” he added.
In other action, the Supervisors approved bingo permit applications from the Castleton and Sperryville Volunteer Fire Departments and okayed payment of $200 to Conner Jenkins of Slate Mills for a 200 pound calf killed by dogs.
Col. Luke informed the rest of the board that 12 building permits for new dwellings were issued in May and June.
