Immunization

Screening

Within the next few weeks, medical records on file in the Rappahannock Elementary School will be t screened to determine which children, if any, are in need of additional immunization to guard against polio, measles, rubella, diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough) and tetanus.

Parents will be notifed as to what immunizations are required, if any.

Parents at the local high school have already been notified if deficiencies exist.

It is expected that all immunizations will be completed prior to the opening of school in order that no child will need to be excluded from school.

Kindergarten students and all other students new to the division must have all required immunization prior to the opening of school.
