In order to answer some questions about the job structure in rural communities. the Virginia Tech Department of Sociology will conduct a study in four Virginia rural counties this summer with funds provided by the U. S. Department of Agriculture.
Rappahannock County has been chosen as one of the four counties included in the study. During the week of August 20, a team of researchers will be interviewing citizens of Rappahannock County concerning their work patterns.
The researchers will also examine such questions as work satisfaction and the household work structure. The results will be made available next June, through a report to be published bv Virignia Tech. The responses of people in Rappahannock County will contribute needed information for the future development of Virginia. Their cooperation will be an opportunity to contribute to the knowledge about the people of this state.
