The wedding music was played on the organ and piano by Mrs. Donald J. Pitts and Miss Beverly Blanton, both of Milford. Soloists were Mr. and Mrs. Willard B. Upshaw Jr. of Fredericksburg.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Fredericksburg Country Club.
After a honeymoon in Orlando, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Whitmer plan to live in Culpeper.
