Terri Teres* Tylek, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Tylek of Amissville. is one off 450 students from 251 Virginia high schools selected to attend the 1981 Governor’s School for the Giftedv A sophomore this year at Rappahannock County High School, Terri is an honor roll student active in extracurricular activities. To be selected for the Governor’s School, students must be juniors or seniors in the 198182 school year who are either in the top ten percent in academic standing or display unusal talent in the arts.

Students were chosen from 625 candidates nominated by school superintendents and principals of private institutions. Selections were made by a 19-member committee appointed by the Board of Education.
