The Orange Area Wool Pool Association announced that it is sponsoring seven special state graded lamb sales this season. Sales will be held on May 6. May 20. June 3. June 17. July 8. July 29. and August 19. at the Madison Livestock Market on Rt. 230.
The association is asking producers to consign by the Friday before each sale how many lambs they will be bringing. Lambs will be taken in. weighed and state graded, from 9:00 A.M. 10:00 A.M. on sale day and sold later to one buyer. The price that will be paid will be a 3-sale average price using the Harrisonburg.
