Dodson
John Walker Dodson, 92, of Edinburg died Saturday, March 27, 1982 at the Miller Nursing Home, Woodstock.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday at the Washington Masonic Cemetery by the Rev. James D. Bailey.
Mr. Dodson was born August 23, 1889, at Sperryville, son of the late James Arnold and Emma Sisk Dodson. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was the husband of the late Lillie Pearl Dodson.
Surviving are a son, Calvin Dodson of Mt. Jackson; a daughter, Minnie Florence Carroll of Jellico, Ky.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Smith
Mrs. Virginia M. Smith of Chevy Chase, Md. died Monday, March 29, 1982 at her residence.
Services were held Wednesday at the Amissville Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Mrs. T. W. Latham of Amissville and the late Mr. Latham.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, James E. Smith; a daughter, Barbara A. Dunn; two sons, Thomas Smith and James Smith, all of Washington, D. C.; one brother, Richard Latham of Amissville and two sisters, Frances Doyle, also of Amissville and Corrie Miller of Connecticut.
