the availability ot funds to help provide for capital expenses for such programs. The money is made available under the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964 and is administered by the federal Urban Mass Transportation Administration (UMTA).
The department will receive and evaluate the proposals and submit an application for the funds. A total of $510,000 has been allocated for Virginia. It will be provided on the basis of 80 percent federal funds and 20 percent non-federal funds.
