Anniversary
To the editor:
While recently doing historical research at the Rappahannock County Court House on a trial case that occurred during the period 1837-1846, I realized that our County was formed by a Virginia General Assembly Act on February 8, 1833.
As February 1983 is Rappahannock County’s 150th anniversary, I thought - what would be more appropriate than to celebrate the occasion, through community effort, much the same as was done for the country’s bi-centennial in 1976! Having planted the seed this spring, is there anyone in the county willing to nurture it and bring the seed to fruition? ROBERT MAHLBACHER Amissville
