In addition to setting the date by which property owners must make application for relief to the Equalization Board, Konick said, the supervisors may also set the deadline for all applications to be finally disposed of by the Equalization Board. The supervisors, in exercising their authority in both instances, must do so by ordinance, he added. Konick pointed out that the code further stipulates that “all such deadlines shall be clearly stated on the notice of assessment.”
