Parrish
William Clay Parrish Jr., a 23-year-old lieutenant in the U. S. Army, died June 10, 1982, in an automobile accident near Warrenton.
Parrish, a resident of Manassas and Viewtown was stationed at the Vint Hill Farms Army Station, Warrenton.
He was born in Alexandria and was a 1976 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Springfield, where he was active in the high school band. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1980 and was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at the University. He also graduated from the Outward Bound School in Minnesota and from Officers Candidate School, Ft. Benning, Ga.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Clay Parrish Sr., of Vienna and Viewtown.
A memorial service was held at Truro Episcopal Chapel, Fairfax City, on June 11. Burial was at Arlington cemetery on June 15.
