A letter dated May 10. 1982, from the Federal Flection Commission gives Rappahannock County Democrats a tap on the wrist for a violation of federal election campaign laws during the 1980 presidential campaign.
I h e Rapp a h a n nock committee was one of lh in Virginia cited lor violations after complaints were lodged by the Republican Party of Virginia. Last week, the state GOP issued a press releaselisting the complaints against 12 county and tour city Democratic committees.
The Rappahannock Democratic Committee's violation involved an advertisement which appeared in the October lb. 1980, issue ol the Rappahannock News.
