Last Sunday, my wife, three-year-old daughter and 1 had a delightful picnic alongside Piney Run near the boundary of the Shenandoah National Park. The sparkling waters, tall firs, quiet and solitude created a restful atmosphere — sorely needed after spending an earlier portion of the afternoon at the 20th anniversary “party” at Dulles International Airport.
