We are sorry to learn of the death of Mrs. Mae Hawkins of Culpeper and extend sympathy to her son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs. Raymond Kestenbawn f ihis community. She had many friends in the community.
Mrs. Emma Crigler of The Gowers in Charlottesville spent several days this week with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lillard. On Thursday they visited Mrs. Crigler’s sister, Mrs. Addie Cornwell in Front Royal.
Monica Lillard was a guest of Dawn Lillard for several days this week.
Misty Gallihugh of Louisa is spending some time with her grandmother, Mrs. Jean Gallihugh.
Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Revercomb of Arlington spent the week at NelMar. They visited Mrs. Jean Gallihugh on Sunday.
The community was sorry to hear of the death of Mr. Richard Raper, who recently lived in this community.
The four churches of the North Madison Charge had a joint picnic at Hazel River Methodist Camp at Boston on Saturday afternoon. It was well attended. Many of the group enjoyed swimming and also a softball game. At the conclusion of the day a birthday cake was enjoyed by the little folks in honor of Lea Anna Yowell’s birthday. She is the three-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Yowell.
