Mrs. Mary Alice Atkins, 59, of Amissville, died Monday, July 29 in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church by the Rev. Merlin Shorb. Burial was in the Flint Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Atkins was bom January 19, 1926, in Flint Hill, daughter of Alice Lillard Brady of Flint Hill and the late Moffett H. Brady. She was a member of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church and the Front Royal Women of the Moose. She was a seamtress for Peebles Department Store in Warrenton.
In addition to her mother, survivors ihClude her husband, Levi J. Atkins, Sr.; a son, E.J. Pullen, Jr. of Broad Run; one daughter, Barbara Willard of Burke and two grandchildren.
Also surviving are four brothers, M.H. Brady, Jr. and Robert Brady of Flint Hill, Charles Brady of Warrenton and Richard Brady of Oakton and five sisters, Louise McCulloch of Flint Hill, Thelma Crane of Lanham, Md., Irene Hamilton of High Point, N.C., Elizabeth Wharton of Gainesville and Ann Jones of Vinton, Iowa.
Pallbearers were Jack E. Hamilton, Bill Bennett, Charles Brady, Jr., Clarence McCulloch, Ernest Crane and William C. Willard.
Arrangements were handled by Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal.
Emily Legg
Infant
Emily Ann Legg, infant, died Monday, July 22 at the Prince William Hospital.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Legg; a sister, Heather Legg and one brother, Billy Legg, all of Amissville.
Also surviving are maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Gilbert of Nokesville; paternal grandmother, Floella Legg of Amissville; maternal great grandmothers, Edith Gilbert of Panama City, Fla. and Ruth Littleton of Illinois and paternal great grandmother, Josephine Legg of Delaplane.
Graveside services were held on Thursday at the Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery at Jeffersonton.
Arrangements were handled by Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton.
Mary Leake
Baptist Churchwoman
Mary Louise Leake, 78, of Culpeper, died Thursday, July 25 at the Culpeper Health Care Center.
Born in Rappahannock, Miss Leake was a member of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday at the Moody Funeral Service Chapel by the Rev. Steve Combs. Burial was in Fairview Cemtery.
Pallbearers were Maury Browning, James Leake, Johnny Meadows, James Meadows, Greg Whorton, Jesse Powell, Freddie Butler and George Whorton.
