Maggie, who lives in the Sperryville area, offered her services as a puppeteer to help the library, and because she enjoys performing. She worked full-time with puppets for two years in Fairfax with her own business called “Maggie’s Marvelous Marionette Company.” Maggie and her husband, Kenny, made the puppets and sets to entertain at parties, schools, etc., in the Fairfax County area.
She has not worked full-time with puppets for four years, though, due to her three children and other demands. “We just got to the point that we were extending ourselves too far,” Maggie said. “We still would work with the puppets at craft shows, fairs and at our kids’ schools.”
