REQUESTS FOR REMOVAL FROM SERVICESPERRYVILLE
SEWAGE
TREATMENT SYSTEM
The Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority will consider requests for removal from the service of the Sperryville Sewerage Treatment System from property owners whose property falls within the project’s service area as shown on the present project plans. Plans are available for public inspection during Monday through Friday work hours at the Sewage Treatment Plant Construction trailer in Sperryville, the Rappahannock County Courthouse in Washington, or the Rappahannock-Rapidan Planning District Commission, 121 W. Locust Street, Culpeper. Only written requests accompanied by written certification from the Virginia Department of Health that a property’s septic system is, at present, in compliance with existing Health Department regulations will be considered. Requests must be received by the Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority, P. O. Box 198, Washington, VA. 22747 no later than September 1, 1985. Please be aware that hook-up/installation fees have been waived through October 1, 1985 for planned services whose property owners execute User Agreements. After this date, hook-up/installation fees estimated to average at least $8,000 per service will be charged to those choosing to hook-up. Consideration and final decisions regarding service removals will be made by the Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority.
