Vandrew Daniel Fletcher, 61, of Washington, died Monday, July 22 at Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.
Bom on April 18, 1924, in Washington, Va., the son of the late Albert Lee and Maria Timbers Fletcher. He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Aylor Fletcher of Washington; three daughters, Lois Teen Bridgett and Doris Ann Fletcher, both of Washington, D.C. and Virginia Marie Fletcher of Washington, Va.; one son, William Albert Fletcher of Sperryville and eight grandchildren.
Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Eddie Green and Lottie Fletcher, both of Pittsburgh, Pa., Kathrine Murray of Rosetta, N.J., Georgia Fletcher and Rachel Wilkerson, both of Philadelphia, Pa. and three brothers, John Wesley Fletcher of California, Jim Byrd Fletcher of Steelton, Pa. and Albert Fletcher of Philadelphia, Pa.
Funeral services were held on Saturday at Hopewell Baptist Church by the Rev. U.S. Brokenburr of Washington, D.C. Burial was in the family section of the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Freeman, Robert Summers, Robert Turner, Harry Lewis, John Clanagan and Lewis Butler.
W.C. Thompson Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
