What’s a vacation? Ask Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown, who have returned home after a three-week tour of six countries — England, France, Switzerland, Germany, Holland and Denmark. They spent several days with their son, Steve, who lives in Cloppenburg, Germany. Mrs. Mary Quaintance and John Quaintance met the Browns at Dulles airport on Monday afternoon.
You might be greeted with “Aloha” from Mrs. Frances Thornton since she spent the past two weeks in Hawaii. Vacationing with her were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Thornton, III, Philip and Felicia of Seoul, Korea, who are on vacation in the United States.
Happy birthday to Heather Aylor! Heather’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ranny Aylor, gave a birthday party in her honor on Saturday. Guests for the celebration included Tonya Settle, Kim and Kristy Amerson, all of Culpeper, and Gwen Bright of Sperryville.
J. C., Cindy and Amanda Welch, children of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Welch, spent Sunday night with their grandmother, Mrs. Louise Woodard.
Last week Mrs. I. R. Kilby and Mrs. Lewis Tyus of Richmond visited cousins in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. They also visited Mrs. Kilby’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Zeigler in Chatham, New Jersey.
Dr. and Mrs. William Kilby and daughter Christina- of Harrisonburg were guests Sunday in the Kilby home. On Monday and Tuesday Mrs. Kilbj visited her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Robertson, in .Fredericksburg.
