The road improvements budget had also been reduced by $61,000, but Mr. Moore said that is not as great a concern because some projects scheduled to be completed with that money were already delayed because of problems in acquiring right-of-way for the improvements.
The storm-related expenses comj bined with the cutbacks amount to $261,000 out of a $1 million budget* he said.
“This will cause some changes in how we do things,” Mr. Moore said: “In snow removal, we may not bring in power equipment as early as we have. I hope people will understand that we’re being reduced. In the last couple of years we have increased our service above the minimum level. ”
