Hospice open house
The Hospice of the Rapidan is having an open house at its new offices, 211 Waters Place in Culpeper, on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Representatives from Tupperware, Discovery Toys, Longerberger Baskets and Pottery, Avon, Successful Living and Handmade Crafts will donate the proceeds from their sales to Hospice. Paperwhites and amaryllises will ; also be available. Refreshments will be served, and door prizes will be awarded. The new Hospice office is located two ■ blocks behind the post office.
Make banquet reservations
The Rappahannock Soccer League will hold an awards banquet on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. in the RCES cafeteria. All players will receive an award. Reservations for this dinner are necessary and must be made by Thursday, Nov. 15. The cost of the dinner for adults is $4, children $2.50. Nicholas exhibit continues
Lynette Nicholas's one-woman exhibition, “Light Transitions/' continues this week at the Middle Street Gallery in Washington. The name refers to her term ».for a particular style of playing opposite and complementary colors to enhance the light quality they possess, using natural settings and blending colors so they pick up the light within a room and scintillate with it. She has been developing this style for dbout 10 years. The show continues through Saturday, Nov. 25. Gallery hours are Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment.
