A brisk breeze chases downy clouds through bright blue skies. The sunshine is deceiving on this cool November day, as young mothers enthusiastically push babies in strollers past elderly couples sitting on park benches.
Scampering, chattering squirrels forage through crackling leaves in search of acorns, hoarding them for the cold winter ahead, when food will be scarce and snow covers the ground. They know instinctively to prepare for the future while food is plentiful, not waiting till frigid winds blow through bare branches.
We also can ensure nourishment for our soul as we worship God in His house each Sabbath. Visit Him and invite Him into your heart. God's love will brighten each day, and will strengthen you when the cold winds of adversity are threatening.
