Last Wednesday, Nov. 7, about 35 people attended a Community Assessment Forum, convened by the Region 6 Literacy Coordinating Committee. Those who came spent five hours assessing the problem of functional illiteracy in Rappahannock County and deciding what to do about it.
Among those who participated were John McCarthy, the County Administrator, representatives of many county offices, the public schools, the Child Care and Learning Center,
