Last month a group of about 16 women finished a course on taking charge of their money.

The course, developed by the American Association of Retired People, is sponsored locally by the Extension Homemakers Council. Helen Smith, Home Extension agent, and Maybelle Gilkey, a member of the Extension Homemakers Clubs, co-chaired the course, and, working with a committee, arranged for guest speakers for each of the seven sessions.

Each Tuesday, starting in September, the group met for a onehour lecture followed by refreshments and small group discussion.
